ATHOS supplies the cable rewinders for checkout scanners in coop stores in Switzerland

Great success for ATHOS customer Inputech. The company manufactures checkout systems in Switzerland for the coop retail chain. Some of these self-checkouts are equipped with cable rewinders with USB cables for the scanners. The buyer scans the purchase on their own there. Such checkout systems are on the rise in Switzerland. A further expansion is planned for 2017. Surveys at coop have shown that 80% of customers use these self-payment checkouts. In Germany, too, such self-payment checkouts are becoming more and more common, e.g. at IKEA.

The coop systems from Inputech use the K30 from ATHOS with a 4-pin contact system for the USB cable, which is used for data transmission.
